MAASH produces LoCylia, a fungi-based protein ingredient for food manufacturers and formulators, and provides fermentation-based protein production and formulation support. Founded in 2021, it is based in Brussels, Belgium, and was co-founded by Gaspard Gilbert and Frédéric Van Gansberghe. In August 2026, it secured EUR 12.15 million, including venture funding from Ambra Capital, InvestPro, Bpifrance Investissement, Nordzucker, and Tereos, plus grant and venture debt funding from Bpifrance. The funding will support a pre-industrial project and production scale-up.
