Founded in 2024 by Emmanuel Masini, Mantle8 develops technology to identify and assess natural hydrogen reservoirs using geophysics, geochemistry and seismic data. It is based in Grenoble, France. In May 2026, it raised EUR 33.06 million in Series A and grant funding led by Sandwater, with participation from Bpifrance Green Venture, Kiko Ventures, Wind, Calderion, the European Commission and Breakthrough Energy Ventures.
