Founded in 2025 in Bengaluru, India, by BS Dheemanth Reddy and Bharath Kumar Kakumani, Maya Research develops voice AI. Its Maya-1 model supports emotionally and culturally nuanced speech synthesis in English, Hindi, Telugu, and other Indian languages. In June 2026, it raised USD 1.9 mn in Seed funding led by South Park Commons. The funding will support development of a speech-based voice platform and conversational models.
