Founded in 2016 in Maastricht, Netherlands, by CSO Mark Post and COO Peter Verstrate, Mosa Meat B.V. produces cultured beef by growing cow cells into muscle tissue. Its signature product is a cultured beef burger sold to consumers and businesses in select European markets. Maarten Bosch is CEO as of 2026. In December 2025 the company raised EUR 15 million led by Invest-NL, with participation from PHW-Gruppe LOHMANN & CO. AG. and Industriebank LIOF. It is at Series B stage.
