Mpathy Medical developed minimally invasive meshes and slings for urogynecological surgery.
Founded in 2003 and based in Glasgow, UK, Mpathy Medical developed implantable devices for urogynecological surgery, including treatment of pelvic organ prolapse and stress urinary incontinence. Its soft meshes and slings were marketed under brands including restorelle, omnisure and minimesh. The products were designed to support tissue integration, with minimally invasive delivery systems and clinical training for surgeons. Coloplast A/S acquired the company in October 2010 for GBP 22 million.
