NeoCarbon develops direct air capture technology that retrofits cooling towers to capture CO2. Its first prototype was operating in a controlled environment as of September 2022. Founded in 2021 by René Haas and Silvain Toromanoff, the company is based in Berlin. It raised USD 1.25 million in pre-seed funding in September 2022, co-led by PropTech1 Ventures and Speedinvest, with Antler participating.
