Founded in 2016 and based in Oslo, Norway, Onio develops energy-harvesting IoT technology, including the ONiO.zero microcontroller, which uses ambient RF and photovoltaic energy. In June 2025, it raised EUR 5.000 mn in Series A funding co-led by Maki.vc and Node.vc, with participation from European Innovation Council and MP Pensjon. The funding will support production scale-up.
