Founded in 2014 in California, US, OpenDoor Labs, Inc. was co-founded by CEO Eric Wu and CTO Ian Wong. It has raised USD 1.5 billion from private equity firms including Felicis Ventures, Khosla Ventures and New Enterprise Associates. In September 2020 it merged with the SPAC Social Capital Hedosophia Holdings Corp. II at an enterprise value of about USD 4.8 billion and listed on Nasdaq as OPEN that December. Carrie Wheeler has led the company as CEO since August 2024.
