Origin Space is a China-based asteroid mining company focused on developing space mineral resources and satellite services.
Founded in 2017, Origin Space develops space mineral resources, with products that include the NEO-X space mining robot, the Yangwang-1 space telescope and the M² lunar rover. Its founder and CEO, Meng Su, is an Associate Professor in the Department of Physics at The University of Hong Kong. The company also offers satellite remote sensing monitoring for environment, agriculture, water conservancy and smart cities. It raised CNY 50 million of angel funding in October 2019 from Linear Venture and Matrix Partners China.
