Founded in 2016 in Beirut, Lebanon, Ostaz runs a private tutoring platform that connects more than 60,000 students with over 12,000 expert tutors, mainly in the Middle East and North Africa. The company was previously known as Synk and has completed four deals. Audrey Nakad and Zeina Nakad are the founders. In April 2021 Inspired Education Holdings Limited acquired Ostaz, and the company has raised a total of USD 1.800 million, including from 500 Global, Crescent Capital and Dubai Angel Investors.
