Founded in 2014 as a spin-off from the University of Trieste, Picosats develops and markets telecommunications systems for the small satellite sector. The Trieste-based company works on satellite communications and provides services for CubeSat pico-satellites. Its founders are Alessandro Cuttin, Anna Gregorio, Mario Fragiacomo and Mauro Messerotti. In July 2023, LIFTT raised EUR 2.13 million in venture funding for the company.
