Founded in 2023 by Kei Ikegami and based in Tokyo, Japan, Planet Savers develops direct air capture systems to collect carbon dioxide for storage or other uses. Its technology uses adsorbent materials such as zeolite and modular system design. In April 2024, the company raised JPY 250 million in seed funding from Spiral Capital and JAFCO Group to develop a prototype and strengthen its organization.
