Founded in 2021 by CEO Dr. Fanny Bardé and co-founder Huw Hampson-Jones, Belgium-based Solithor develops and manufactures solid-state lithium cell technology for automotive, aviation, maritime, and space applications. Its technology uses a nano-Solid Composite Electrolyte and nano-anode. In May 2022, the company raised EUR 10 million in seed funding led by imec.xpand, with participation from FPIM, LRM, and Nuhma. Its team of 20 operated in Leuven and EnergyVille in Genk as of June 2022.
