Founded in 2018 in Bangalore, Starya Mobility develops electric powertrain retrofit kits for gearless petrol scooters. The kit includes an ARK unit, brake liner, modified boot space and accelerator, and uses the company's 5.5 kW patented PMSM motor and controller. Its app lets users check battery status and other scooter metrics. In June 2023, the company raised USD 2 million from EXEDY India Ltd., with participation from returning investor ah! Ventures.
