Founded in 2018 and headquartered in Tokyo, Japan, teTra Aviation Corp. designs eVTOL aircraft, mainly the Mk-5 single-seat electric kit-plane. The Mk-5 has a maximum take-off weight of 200 lbs (90.7 kg), a range of 160 km (100 miles) and a cruise speed of 100 mph (160 km/h). It is sold to aviation enthusiasts, aviation schools and experimental aircraft builders. In June 2022 the company raised JPY 450 million from investors including Kyowa Technica and Mitsubishi Gas Chemical. CEO Tasuku Nakai leads the company.
