Founded in 2018 by CEO Lawrence Leuschner, Matthias Laug and Julian Blessin, and based in Berlin, Germany, TIER Mobility SE runs a shared micro-mobility fleet of 20,000 scooters across 95 cities in 12 countries. In October 2021 it raised USD 200 million in Series D funding from Mubadala Capital, SB Investment Advisers, M&G Investments and Mountain Partners, valuing the company at USD 2 billion post-money. In November 2021 it acquired the bike-sharing service Nextbike.
