Founded in 2015 in São Paulo, Brazil, Tilabras Aquaculture is a vertically integrated tilapia farming company formed through a partnership between Regal Springs Tilapia and Axial. It designs its own floating pens and breeding program and uses plant-based feed. The company had 30 floating pens in October 2022 and a license to farm 100,000 metric tons of tilapia per year. In that month, it raised EUR 10 million led by Ocean 14 Capital to expand its farming base and employment.
