Waga Energy produces biomethane from landfill gas using its WAGABOX® technology.
Founded in 2015 and based in France, Waga Energy builds, owns, operates, and maintains Wagabox units under agreements with landfill owners. The units upgrade landfill gas into biomethane for gas grids or vehicle fuel. In June 2025, EQT agreed to acquire a 54.1% stake for EUR 289 million, or EUR 21.55 per share.
